We specialize in correcting your body’s misalignments. Our goal is to ensure that your spine and the rest of your body are working harmoniously. After a thorough evaluation and history, a unique plan of care is created for each patient. The specific, scientific chiropractic adjustment is performed to the primary subluxations of each patient. At Summit Family Chiropractic we take a bio-structural approach to correct subluxations and global patterns. We utilize the techniques of Thompson, SOT, Gonstead, Activator and Diversified to be able to provide for people of all walks of life.
Here at Summit Family Chiropractic, we offer a conservative approach to treating pregnant women. Our prenatal care is gentle and safe. We aim to alleviate the stress and strains of pregnancy while improving comfort for both the mother and baby. We understand the physical changes that come with pregnancy, and we offer relief without using any drugs. Dr. Molly is certified in Webster Technique through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). The ICPA defines Webster Technique as, “The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic sacral analysis and diversified adjustment. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral subluxation/ SI joint dysfunction. In doing so, neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvis is facilitated. Sacral subluxation may contribute to difficult labor for the mother (i.e., dystocia), caused by inadequate uterine function, pelvic contraction, and baby mal-presentation. Correction of sacral subluxation may have a positive effect on all of these causes of dystocia.”
Chiropractic care is not just for adults. In fact, there are more and more parents seeing the many benefits of their children seeing a chiropractor every single day. Some of the most traumatic events to our spines come when we are children. Having specific knowledge and techniques to adjust infants will allow them to grow up subluxation free and create a strong spinal awareness from a young age.
Corrective exercises are the use of bodily movements and/or postures to restore desirable changes in diseased or injured tissues. The corrective exercises are movement strategies that minimize or eliminate compensation. Corrective exercises are prescribed to the patient to ensure the maximal spinal correction is achieved. These exercises are given to aid the body in correcting any aberrant postural shifts on the front and/or side view that are noted during the posture screening and x-ray analysis. The exercises work in concert with the adjustment.
Summit Family Chiropractic takes pride in the ability to care for athletes and help them obtain their optimal performance. This means a full body approach to chiropractic including adjusting both upper and lower extremity joints. Addressing upper and lower extremity joint dysfunction and subluxation is paramount in keeping the athlete in the game and off of the sideline due to injury. A joint in proper motion and biomechanics is less likely to be injured.
